Water shortage faced by locals prior to the dam project
May 3, 2011 - An inside source has reported that digging work in preparation for the laying of the foundation of a planned joint mega dam project, to be built by the Burmese regime and a Chinese company on the Salween River near Ywathit, is now reaching 1,000 foot. A militia fails in an attempted escape
Apr 13, 2011 - Four militias from a former cease-fire armed group known as the Karenni National Solidarity Organization from Kemaphyu camp of Pasaung Township managed initially to escape to the Karenni army control area on April 12, but their attempt later failed, reported an inside source from the area. more »
